John has decades of experience in business, education, and military science. He currently serves as the Chief Revenue Officer and Vice President of marketing, strategy and business development at ArmorText. He also chairs the ArmorText board of outside advisors. ArmorText Secure Teams is a proprietary business communication platform built to serve the needs of national security, defense and critical infrastructure communities. ArmorText Secure Teams provides an end-to-end encrypted workspace for secure chat, voice calling, videoconferencing and file storage. John also sits on the advisory boards of several companies and lectures on National Security, Criminology, Law and Society at George Mason University.
Previously, John served as the director for executive education seminars and national security studies at Williamson College; senior defense policy and technology advisor to the Department of Defense; senior defense strategist for crisis management and continuity of government for the Office of the Secretary of Defense; CEO for a foreign affairs and national security consultancy that provided advice and consultation to the United States intelligence community and its NATO allies.
John is a highly decorated U.S. Army combat veteran. While in uniform, he served with distinction in a number of senior leadership and advisory roles in the national security, international arms control, nuclear nonproliferation, military intelligence, joint psychological operations, and special forces communities. He has extensive experience leading and working on global influence and counterpropaganda campaigns, counterterrorism, counterinsurgency and counterdrug operations in the Middle East and Central and South America.
John earned an MS in Strategic Intelligence Studies and Post Graduate Intelligence Diploma in Near and Middle East Studies from the National Intelligence University; MS in Education from Old Dominion University; and a BASc in Liberal Arts from the University of New York, Excelsior College.
