Steven Mueller

Back to team

Steve is a retired U.S. Army Special Forces (Green Beret) officer. He also served as an Army Ranger in the 75th Ranger Regiment and prior to that was a Navy SEAL. He attended the University of Illinois with a major in kinesiology. While he was at the University of Illinois, Steve played wide receiver for the Illini, earning the nickname, "take 'em deep."

Steve is never one to beat his chest. His humility is evident in every decision he makes.

“I get vetted for stolen valor all of the time… it gets old real fast!” Steve laughs. As one of only a handful of people to accomplish the unbelievable trifecta of becoming an Army Ranger, Navy SEAL, and Green Beret, Steve has an unofficial PhD in “embracing the suck.”

Steve’s message resonates with all audiences as he shares his leadership and team-building experiences from his military career focusing on highlighting the importance of:

1. Mission

2. Team

3. Teammates

4. Individual

Steve’s goal is to help both teams and individuals realize their full potential. In his presentation, Steve asks:

Why are you here?

Where are we going?

How are you going to get there?
